Talk:Okotans

From BIONICLEsector01

The page said that the Okotans can use Masks of Power, but do at least the Protectors have elemental powers in their bodies? I mean, in that webisode called "The Arrival" in 2015, the Protector of Fire conjured up a fire-ball. Did his Mask of Fire create the fire-ball, or does he have Fire powers in his body? All these new talk pages inquiring about the source of elemental power have the same answer. Masks in G2 work fundamentally different from Kanohi of G1. They are not simply external independent sources of power - they act as catalysts to bring out the inherent power already existing in the body of the wearer. This is explained in the second graphic novel where the mask-making process and mask functionality are detailed. Here is the relevant excerpt: "But the masks themselves only unlock the inner potential of their wearers - for the power of the masks only helps to unleash and enhance a power that already exists within."--ToaKebaka (talk) 00:04, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Okay. Thanks for answering my question! (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Lenny7092)

Accidentally called Matoran?

The link for the trivia point that Issue #4 in 2016 of the Lego Club Magazine is broken(and I will get around to changing the url= to brokenurl=), and there is no snapshots on the Wayback Machine for the entirety of Lego's entire archive/catalogue. I was able to find [this (presumably) unofficial website] which has high quality scans of a ton of the Lego Club magazines, including what I think is all for 2016, but I couldn't find any of them accidentally calling the Okotans "Matoran". However, I definitely could have missed something, and regardless, I would want to know if this url would be acceptable for use as an archiveurl for this or any other Lego Club Magazines, supposing that there is no current official sources(I also don't know whether we have the rights for this). I feel like it probably did happen somewhere, and the person who made the citation just made a mistake considering how specific and inconsequential(though definitely interesting) a claim like this is. Those are the US magazine. The cited magazine is the UK magazine. Content often differs between regions. ~ Wolk (talk) 20:36, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
I remembered the spread from the time (pretty sure I got the magazine with it too, even though I was in the US), and while I couldn't find it at that link, I was able to find it again here. Hope this helps. --Gonel (talk) 00:26, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Wasn't it also present in the german version?--ToaKebaka (talk) 13:02, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Likely. I think the European publications these days are mostly the same. ~ Wolk (talk) 14:41, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
