Xia Experimentation?

The page mentions that Teridax sent two of the Toa Mangai to Xia for experimentation, but if I recall the only reference to this is in the backstory for the (Nihu-Motara) Energy Siphon Blade, which has been declared non-canon. Is there another reference to this somewhere, or is it safe to remove that info? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 02:42, 2 August 2014 (CEST)

Remove, it's definitely non-canon. I guess people might have taken the Varian story (which used one of the weapons) as some kind of backdoor canonization of the histories, but it didn't. -- I AM THE DOREK do not truffle with me 04:18, 2 August 2014 (CEST)
It is not completely non-canon. It is semi-canon. Most of the backstory is non-canon though, that is true. I am not sure what part is canon and what is not though. Can anyone elaborate on this so we'll know? --Luka1184 (talk) 17:28, 20 May 2015 (CEST)
The actual histories of the tools (barring appearances in the story) are non-canon, just the functionalities are canon. So the aforementioned example of the Toa Mangai being sent to Xia for experiments did not happen. -- Dorek Talk External Image 18:22, 20 May 2015 (CEST)

population

so there are several sources saying that there were about 1000 matoran living in metru nui, roughly. but there are also several sources saying that the number was several thousand, and pretty much all visual media seems to indicate that as well. the only sources that say that there are 1000 matoran living in MN are the ones that were pinned down to give an exact number on the issue, it seems, and given the other depictions, i'd wager that the sources saying there were several thousand matoran living there are probably more accurate. (as a little bit of an aside, many real world high schools have well over 1000 kids. there's no way that MN is smaller than most high schools, especially given the fact that not all matoran know each other, and the depicted population density, and the geographical size of the city). i guess what i'm getting at here is what's the right answer? At the same time, the entire population was supposedly moved to Mata Nui, which only has 1,000 Matoran. Personally, though it doesn't make sense for the size of the city, I would use these numbers: https://web.archive.org/web/20051222052158/http://www.lego.com:80/eng/bionicle/story/2004/cityguide/default.asp?page=home But since Greg has vanished off the face of the Earth, guess we'll never know. ~ Wolk (talk) 03:02, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
According to Greg, it's a retcon to "Thousands," even for Mata Nui, if I understand this answer correctly. https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/matoran-count/40507/10 ~ Wolk (talk) 16:59, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

Day/Night Cycle

The 2 suns and moons of Metru Nui are the lights of Mata Nui's eyes shining through the sun holes, but I can't find evidence the they even move, so how does the day/night cycle work? The sun holes page doesn't explain it, and neither does this page. Do they just dim, or do the hole move?

Just because I stumbled across it when someone showed me this link a few days ago, the main notable reference to this I'm aware of is found here as the first bullet under Past Story/Matoran History. Underwhelming as answers go, but what can you do. --Gonel (talk) 18:48, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
