Talk:Energized Protodermis

Destiny?

If Teridax wasn't meant to transform, how did Takutanuva exist? Are we sure that the beings necessarily have to be destined to transform in order to fuse via EP? TOA JALA talk 19:21, 4 November 2013 (PST)

I think he was destined to transform during the fight with Takanuva, but not when the Piraka were using his Antidermis. Like how Tahu doesn't try to become a Nuva again, because he's not necessarily destined to be transformed twice. Master Inika (Talk) 23:26, 4 November 2013 (PST)

My answer would be similar to the above, but it could also be that Teridax is destined to transform only under certain conditions, particularly the condition that Takanuva be part of that transformation. The Toa Mata could have individually not been destined to transform into the Toa Nuva, but so destined under the condition that they do so with their whole team. ζω·τωμαναexternal image

Aha...K, thanks! :D TOA JALA talk 09:12, 6 November 2013 (PST)

One of the original explanations was actually that the Matoran are destined to work to support Mata Nui, and that the EP acted as a way to fulfill destiny by killing Teridax's substance (because he was interrupting their work), but this was eventually phased out in favor of the current explanation; destiny is rather vague in the end, but most people wouldn't be destined to transform twice. -- I AM THE DOREK do not truffle with me 13:42, 6 November 2013 (PST)
