Talk:Bomonga

From BIONICLEsector01

Pronunciation

Likely it meant "bow" as in "bow and arrow" and not "bow of a ship", but yeah, "bo" accomplishes that better =P -- Dorek Talk External Image 18:36, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Mask shape

Hate me all you want for my recent Bomonga and Mask of Growth page edits, but unless Greg confirms that Bomonga's Mask is shaped as a (regional?) Faxon variant, it's just an unknown Kanohi resembling a Faxon. Greg was clear when he said that Lesovikk's mask's only mutation/modification was the black tube, without it, it is the standard Faxon.

If Pouks' kanohi won't change, but won't be strictly confirmed to be a Kakama variant shaped mask either, it'll get the same treatment. It's not me disliking them, it's the fact, that neither of them are based on canon forms, nor on comic or guide book artworks which used different variants for these masks, thus we can't say that those are a variant Kakama or a variant Faxon. For Gaaki? Well, half of the artworks has given her fan designs, which isn't based on anything, the other two are the Elda shaped mask and the Kaukau shaped one. If a fan design wins, I don't think we need to edit her page and the mask's at all, or maybe "shaped as an unknown different Kanohi worn by a past hero," but it will be easier, and less controversial.

Kualus's was easy, as the visible part of the mask is identical to the 2006 comic one, it's not ambiguous.--Surel (Talk) 13:21, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

With what information we currently have, I think this is the best way to handle it. However, I absolutely do not like the idea that Bomonga's mask, which looks near identical to a Faxon and was intended to be a Faxon, is a completely unrelated mask. I think TTV should include asking for confirmation if it is indeed a Faxon variant whenever they send off the entries. If this is something enough people agree with, it should probably be mentioned to them. Dag (talk) 17:23, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
