Talk:Mask of Emulation
Mask of Absorption?
Based on some of the cited Farshtey Feed pages (1 and 2), it sounds like the mask's original name was the Mask of Absorption. Per this Greg quote, the name may have changed to the Mask of Emulation after a poll. Does anyone have access to the original BZP poll where the mask name was determined? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 03:16, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- I found something releated to the name-change, I'll add it, the name did change after the poll. — Surel—Nuva (Talk) 09:19, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Toanoopie asked Greg about it. — Surel—Nuva (Talk) 14:53, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
ta matoran and miserix
I'm not going to contest either since i'm not sure i'm seeing everything in the sources, but currently, the fourth and fifth citations are listed as proof that the ta-matoran from mahri nui was wearing a mask of emulation (and combined with the picture, implies that it's the one that died after saving hahli). i don't see anything in those citations that mention that matoran as wearing any particular mask though.
on the makuta citation - the one citing that pouks was copying miserix's teleportation power - the quote sounds a little ambiguous - he could have been copying any of the makuta's power. i agree that he was copying the teleportation power, i just want the sources to be as clear as possible. - In fact, Miserix didn't demonstrate any other powers, and he saved the Hagah with his teleportation power, the reades should assume that Pouks copied that power, for it's usefull, otherwise the sentence would have mentioned the other, unnamed power by name. It's only logical in that way, if you reread the chapter. On the Ta-Matoran, his mask's picture was canonized as the "Mask of Absorption" which got renamed as the "Mask of Emulation" no need for other source saying it was that particular Ta-Matoran, because his mask's picture from the comic was chosen to be this mask. I don't want to be harsh, or rude, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you asks questions which are already answered in the citations/references. I personally read the information and sources twice before asking about a missing part. — Surel—Nuva (Talk) 10:21, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Noble Kiril?
Is it just me or is the Matoran version exactly like a noble Kiril JustenDouma (talk) 12:36, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- At least with the front-facing view, I completely agree with you; I've always thought this Matoran was just wearing a Kiril. The side view seems to be very different, which is just another case of Stuart Sayger's inconsistent art style, but I guess it was different enough that fans treated it as a new design. --PeabodySam (talk) 14:33, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
