This template represents an appearance in a piece of media. To place appearances in some article, place one instance of this template for every piece of media that the subject appeared in. Then, underneath those template instances, place an instance of Template:Appearancelist to display those appearances in an organized list.
This template relies upon Template:AppearanceMarkup. For more technical information about how appearances are represented and how they are displayed, see the documentation for Template:AppearanceMarkup.
Parameters
| Parameter | Function |

| (first parameter) | The shortcut (as listed in Template:FormattedTitleText) for this appearance's piece of media. For example, to note an appearance in "Showdown", set shortcut to IC3.

(optional; may provide up to five) |
Additional notes that should be placed after inside parantheses using Template:C. For example, if an appearance took place in a vision, you may pass an in additional unnamed parameter with the value V, in which case '''{{C|V}}''' will be placed at the end of the appearance, yielding the following: (V).
