Talk:Shadow

From BIONICLEsector01

So I wanna make sure I have this right. By shadow they mean some type of dark energy, and darkness is like regular shadows and darkness. Is that correct? (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Makuta hordika)

Not exactly. Shadow is an "elemental" power, which means that it has access to a wider range of dark-energy based powers and abilities. Darkness is just an ordinary power (or sub-power of the actual element, if you prefer), which literally involves creating darkness. The quote at the top articulates what it does best; it blocks off light from the area. Shadow is more versatile (energy blasts, etc), but because it's a fairly unique element, it can only be used by the Makuta and Shadow Toa. -- I AM THE DOREK do not truffle with me 13:54, 5 January 2014 (PST)
This is a complicated element, I must admit. I read on BZPower once that Shadow is not the absence of light, but an energy that creates darkness. I'm guessing that it's that energy in its purest form that creates destructive "Shadow blasts." TOA JALA talk 18:08, 5 January 2014 (PST)

Travelling by Shadow?

I know I've brought this up before, but it's bugging me. It says on this page that shadow users can "transport themselves using shadows." I know shadow Stealer can do this by opening doorways (sometimes known as umbrageous teleportation), but have we ever seen anyone else do it? The only characters we've really see use Shadow to its full potential are Makuta, right? But they usually just use their Kraata teleportation powers to get around. So is this another Shadow Stealer-exclusive, or has it been confirmed or used in canon? -- external image Speak to Me 21:51, 21 January 2016 (CET)
