Onua's Hands or Removable Toa Tools?

I feel like we had discussed this at one point, but if we did, it has since disappeared (maybe I'm just thinking of Gali's hooks or Nuparu's claws). This says that the claws are just his hands, but I can't find anything supporting that, besides a kinda indirect confirmation in an answer where he also seems to be confusing Onua Nuva and Pohatu Nuva, and does say, though probably a mistake, that Onua Nuva's non-existant claws are detachable and throwable. He also says here that they are(if you check context, the term "Organic" was specified by the asker and understood by Greg to mean whether they are a part of his body), but again, he says Onua has thrown them, which I believe he has done in media, though I don't know if any are canon(such as in the non-canonical Bionicle: Legend of Mata Nui, where Onua's grappling hook is shaped/is one of his claws). In contrast, nothing cited here says his hands are his claws, and while I feel like there was a source, I can't find it and it isn't cited here. This page is also just severely in need of citation, though I don't know if that is all that unusually for tool pages. Firespitter Lhii (talk) 16:53, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

Nevermind, I've found 2 sources (https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page174#post6933, https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page130#post5167) saying they ARE his hands, and haven't checked them all(didn't consider that Greg may not have used the term 'Onua' or 'claw' in his answers if the asker already used their names). Well, I was just about to say that the Encyclopedia says Onua relied on his claws as a Toa and on a pair of Quake Breakers as a Toa Nuva. The Makuta's Guide says he relied on his natural claws as a weapon.--SurelNuva (Talk) 17:41, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

I also have this citation BTW, but for now, I won't include it, as it seems to just be pertaining to a hypothetical depiction of Onua Mata if he were in a movie, but since it could also be seen as canonical confirmation the the Bionicle Cinematic Universe(a thing which lines up with but is at times distinguishsed from to the novels's continuity), so maybe you can add it. For now, I will use the other citations, including MGttU, to cite it, and will add additional info on this page and Onua's from BEU, like him having an accute sense of touch that can sense even the slightest vibrations.
