File talk:BIONICLE The Legend of Mata Nui Gali Gameplay.png

From BIONICLEsector01

Where was this sourced from? since the game was never released in full, was this from the beta? i don't remember seeing anything like this in any of the streams of the new alpha that was just released. Intelligence4 (talk) 01:26, 26 February 2018 (UTC)

Data mining (digging into the game code and files) People have been working on fixing the game since it turned out a lot of crashes or missing things was caused by renamed or relocated files. The game is available for download on the Biomedia Project site. There's a lot more than what was in the stream. ~ Wolk (talk) 08:13, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
neat - i didn't know that, i thought they covered pretty much everything that could be covered at this point. wish i had more time to dig in with you guys! Intelligence4 (talk) 00:46, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

This particular image predates the leaked alpha (and subsequent data mining) by more than a decade - it's been on Brickshelf since 2006! Unfortunately, that means I don't have an answer to your question, since I don't think it originated from this Brickshelf gallery either; I think that was just a fan compiling screenshots and media from around the internet. It's not one of the screenshots that Deep Brick provided for Mask Of Destiny, which makes sense since he couldn't get past the Onua level. If I had to guess, I'd say this screenshot was from an official press release... but, where it's just a guess, I could certainly be wrong. --PeabodySam (talk) 01:02, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

If you want to know where in the game was this screenshot taken? That's a question I can answer! Looks like GLY3 of Gali's level to me. There, Gali swims through several underwater ruins, pushing pedestals to open large doors that lead her to the Whirlpool Glyph, a stone tablet that lets her use her elemental powers to create a whirlpool (theoretically, at least... it doesn't actually seem to do anything in the alpha build). --PeabodySam (talk) 01:08, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
thanks!
