Lightning

Why do we use the color gold to represent the element lightning? Their color is supposed to be blue, which makes more sense than gold.

Basically we make the distinction between "Toa" and "everything else that uses the element". Lightning was first introduced in 2003, so the link color is a holdover from when BS01 first classified the various powers. When I was revamping the color system, I made the full divestment between species and element colors. So Lightning's element color, the gold, applies to Tahnok Kal and Avohkah, but not Nikila. The same goes for other elements like Sonics, Gravity, etc.
Obviously there's going to be some crossovers or similarities (like with Gravity, because the color used for the links later turned out to be close to the armor colors). But it's just how the system works. -- Dorek Talk external image 22:50, 10 February 2015 (CET)
