The set consists of 124 pieces.

By combining pieces from Black Phantom with pieces from 6202 Rocka, one can build a non-canon combination model.

Features

The set features the Razor Sabre Mace Staff and Arachnix, the latter being a silver drone that is a variation of the Meteor Blaster. While Arachnix can be used as a Meteor Blaster, when one removes Arachnix from Black Phantom's hand, one can make Arachnix move by moving his four legs. With Aranchix out of Black Phantom's hand, one can split the staff into two smaller weapons, a mace and a spear, and put each of them on one of Black Phantom's hands, according to the back of the box.

On the box's front art's background shows Daniel Rocka, a Hero from the Rocka set and who is chasing after Black Phantom in the Hero Factory's Assembly Tower.

Collectibles

The set includes a black helmet, which uses a small red axle piece to attach it to Black Phantom's head. The helmet also has two red and black corrupted Quaza spike pieces from the late 2011 set wave on its sides. The set has Aranchix's silver body. It also has a Hero Core. Printed underneath the Core is a code called a Hero Code, which could be entered in an online game called Breakout in HeroFactory.com in 2012, to earn 500 Hero Points. The Hero Core is not used in Black Phantom or Arachnix's constructions, but can possibly be placed on any of Black Phantom's armor pieces for storage.

Trivia

• Black Phantom looks somewhat similar to Fire Lord.
• Black Phantom is one of the four only sets to have a transparent green Hero 1.0 head piece, the others being 6202 Rocka, 6218 Splitface, and 6221 Nex.
• Black Phantom's helmet piece is the same as Speeda Demon and Voltix's from 6231 Speeda Demon and 6283 Voltix, respectively.
• Black Phantom is one of the only two sets to provide 500 Hero Points for the Breakout game, the other being 6230 Stormer XL.
• Arachnix's body has a bar in the back that can clip onto a piece. This is shown in Episode 8: Breakout Part 1 and Episode 9: Breakout Part 2.
• Arachnix's body is of the same design as Thornraxx's head from 6228 Thornraxx.
