Talk:Toa Canister
"In the early years of the Matoran Universe, Matoran everywhere built groups of six Toa Canisters, symbolizing the six Toa Mata. As a result of this purpose, it became a common belief that only a Toa or a being of equal or greater power would be able to survive passage in one."
The way this passage is worded seems to mean the myth arose specifically because of Toa Mata. Is this just a wording issue or was this confirmed at some point? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 06:14, 20 September 2014 (CEST)
- Confirmed; not necessarily the Toa Mata specifically, but as you say, the idea of them. The point was that one day there would be six Toa who would save the Great Spirit because destiny. Canisters were built as a monument to this legend/belief. -- I AM THE DOREK do not truffle with me 06:29, 20 September 2014 (CEST)
- this is over two years old, but where was that confirmed? Intelligence4 (talk) 08:14, 22 January 2017 (CET)
Only for toa
I don't think it was simply "mental" strength that allowed the future inika to travel safely in the toa canisters, i think the legend was simply incorrect about needing the "strength of a toa" to ride in one - it was only a legend, after all, and we have a given instance of not-toa travelling safely in them.
