The set's box

The set consists of 188 pieces.

The set contains four mini-figures, Hero Mark Surge, Hero Daniel Rocka, an orange and black Jumper, and a lime green and black Jumper. Each of the Heroes has a click shooter. The set also contains a red cocoon.

Features

The Surge & Rocka Combat Machine is two Battle Machines in one because the mini-jet is attached to the top of the other Battle Machine, which has four legs. The mini-jet is as small as a small set Battle Machine, and the bottom Battle Machine is larger than a medium-sized set Battle Machine. Each of the Combat Machine's halves features a detachable orange cockpit with an opening transparent blue visor. The machine has five flick-fire missile launchers. The mini-jet has four of the launchers; one in each of its wings, and one of each of its sides. Each of these launchers can launch a missile. The main machine has the fifth launcher on its right side, which can launch six missiles.

The main machine has a Plasma Gun, which is a Goo Shooter, a variation of the Plasma Gun, in the story. The gun can articulate. Each of the main machine's sides has a printed armor piece. Each of the click shooters can be placed on one of the armor pieces.

The top parts of the summer wave Battle Machines removed

The mini-jet's wings have a rubber piece that can be pushed to make the wings go back. The mini-jet is detachable, and it being detached from the main machine represents the mini-jet flying. After the mini-jet is detached, the top parts of 44025 Bulk Drill Machine or 44027 Breez Flea Machine can be attached to the Combat Machine's main body to replace the mini-jet, so the main body can use the other sets' gadgets that the top parts come with.

Trivia

• The Combat Machine is like 44022 Evo XL Machine, but as two Battle Machines in one.
• Though the Evo Spider Machine from 44020 Flyer Beast vs. Breez is not advertised to have its top part replace the Combat Machine's mini-jet, it is possible to do so.
