The set consists of 149 pieces.
By combining pieces from Dragon Bolt with pieces from 44008 Surge, one can build a non-canon combination model.
Features
The set features an opening mouth. It also has a red button on its back that can make Dragon Bolt's wings flag down, and it is supported by a white rubber band.
Collectibles
The set includes a blue upper jaw piece, a Brain, and a Hero Core. The Brain's body is a mix of yellow and blue to amke the Brain mostly green. The Brain's hard plastic axle insert has a glow-in-the-dark paint, so the Brain's eyes, spikes, and axle can glow in the dark. The Brain can be removed from Dragon Bolt's head to represent Dragon Bolt being freed from it. Printed underneath the Core is a code called a Hero Code, which could be entered in an online game called Brain Attack in HeroFactory.com in 2013, to earn 1000 Hero Points. The Hero Core is not used in Dragon Bolt's construction, but can possibly be placed on any of his armor pieces for storage.
Trivia
- This set is the only Hero Factory set to have a glow-in-the-dark piece. Despite Dragon Bolt having white eyes in his set because of the piece, he has red eyes in the canon, like the other of the Brains' hosts.
- The set's face is made of more pieces than the other 2013 villain sets', where each uses one or two pieces.
- Dragon Bolt is one of the only two sets to provide 1000 Hero Points for the Brain Attack, the other being 44000 Furno XL.
- The set uses electricity pieces from 6283 Voltix, which are on Voltix's head and voltage booster switch.
- Unlike the other 2013 villain sets, this set does not have its own animation that expands Dragon Bolt's encounter with his Brain and transformation by it from Episode 10: Brain Attack for an unknown reason.
- Despite Dragon Bolt being advertised to fight against Surge, he never did in the story for an unknown reason. It is also advertised that Dragon Bolt fights against 44014 Jet Rocka, but to a lesser extent.
