The set consists of 103 pieces.

By combining pieces from Furno XL with pieces from 44001 Pyrox, one can build a non-canon combination model.

Features

The set features an opening translucent white and printed Visor and four opening Hero Core Locking Clamps.

Collectibles

The set includes a red helmet and a Hero Core. Printed underneath the Core is a code called a Hero Code, which could be entered in an online game called Brain Attack in HeroFactory.com in 2013, to earn 1000 Hero Points.

Trivia

• Furno's helmet is based on the one in 7167 William Furno and 6293 Furno.
• This set is the only 2013 Hero set to have one hand piece rather than two for an unknown reason. This hand piece, which is Furno's left hand, is holding the Flaming Fire Sword while a connector piece is used as his right hand and holding Furno's Fire Shield.
• Like 6230 Stormer XL, this set does not have a normal Brain Attack Hero set counterpart for an unknown reason.
• Furno XL is one of the only two sets to provide 1000 Hero Points for the Brain Attack, the other being 44009 Dragon Bolt.
• Furno XL can also be combined with set 70200 CHI Laval, a constraction set from LEGO's Legends of Chima line, to create a new bulkier version of the Laval set, using instructions obtained from a code present in the September-October issue of the LEGO Club Magazine. This is the first combiner to be made of sets from two Lego themes.
