This template is for citing miscellaneous webpages.

To make editing the wiki easier, some websites that are commonly cited on BS01 have their own dedicated citation templates. When you can, please use those templates instead of Template:WebsiteCitation! Here is a current list of those other templates:


Parameters

Parameter Function
websitetitle The title of the overall website being cited.
pagetitle The title of the specific webpage being cited.
originalurl (optional if at least one of archiveurl or brokenurl is specified) The original, non-archived URL to cite. At least one of the three parameters originalurl, archiveurl, and brokenurl must be specified.

Default: nothing

archiveurl (optional if at least one of originalurl or brokenurl is specified) The archived URL to cite. At least one of the three parameters originalurl, archiveurl, and brokenurl must be specified.

Default: nothing

brokenurl (optional if at least one of originalurl or archiveurl is specified) The URL to cite, which points to a broken page. At least one of the three parameters originalurl, archiveurl, and brokenurl must be specified. The value of brokenurl only appears in the final citation as a last resort when neither originalurl nor archiveurl is specified.

Default: nothing
