Dubious categorization
I don't think some of these are justifiably categorized as cut content. Hook, Blade etc. are borderline because they were preliminary names hailing from the Bioknights era. I don't think preliminary names in general are necessarily cut content because they were always meant to evolve into something final. Though this could go either way.
Second point for 2005 is definitely not cut content - it was never meant to be - traitor Matau is just Greg's preference.
The last point in 2010 also shouldn't be cut content because the story never progressed to the point where it would even get a chance to be cut.--ToaKebaka (talk) 10:48, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I literally just copied the whole thing from the Sandbox page, all additional I've added was the updated ref for the Kanohi Artidax and the notes, nothing else.
- I'm not sure about the preliminary names, it opens up a can of worms, with the original Piraka names, and their promotional nicknames being non-canon... I think the appearances of the MNOG2 matoran, the cut MNOG content should be here as well as the Brakas from the QftT game. I agree on the 2005 section with Matau, but maybe, the unfinished story that ended up on the cutting floor might stay here? - Well it wasn't actually cut - there wasn't really anything to be cut, because the story was suspended. It is just a story beat that would have been realized in some form or fashion, but didn't get the opportunity. Cut implies it was developed, but a decision was made to purposely not include it for one reason or another.--ToaKebaka (talk) 12:26, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- To paraphrase what I said during the voting process, it's a super broad subject that could include an untold number of things, especially if we go with the originally proposed list of "trivia bits." I also imagine people will be more likely to visit the page of something for trivia about it rather than browse a page that may or may not include the information they're looking for. Was hoping that a complete draft would be prepared before the proposal passed or it was published rather than just the beginnings of one, or else I could see it existing as a half-baked page. Maybe I haven't seen the bigger picture, but I'm not sure what the point is or what the end product will look like. Currently it's not one Dorek (who originally proposed it) has yet elaborated on or taken steps toward, though he has had ideas for it. --Gonel (talk) 15:13, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
