The Carapar set was released in early 2007 as one of the six Barraki sets. The set contains fifty pieces.
By using instructions released through LEGO Brickmaster Magazine, parts from Carapar can be combined with 8919 Mantax and 8920 Ehlek to create the Pit War Tortoise. Additionally, instructions were released through LEGO Club Magazine to combine the set's parts with 8913 Toa Nuparu, 8915 Toa Matoro, and 8919 Mantax to create the Manutri.
Carapar carries a Squid Launcher that can be used to shoot the squid projectiles included with the set.
Like all the Barraki sets, Carapar features pliable mandibles that can be pinched closed.
The set includes two yellow-orange Sea Squid.
- The cover of Carapar's instruction manual misspells the set's name as "Karapar."
