The Venom Flyers are predatory flying Rahi.

The Venom Flyer species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[1]

After the Visorak horde was conquered by the Brotherhood of Makuta, Venom Flyers were chosen to travel with Visorak squads to neutralize flying targets.[2] They were also used to deliver messages between the Dark Hunters and Brotherhood.[3]

When the Visorak horde was eliminated by the volcanic eruption on Artidax, the Venom Flyers dispersed. However, Makuta Teridax soon took control of the Matoran Universe and recreated the Visorak, and the Venom Flyers rejoined the horde.[citation needed]

After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, the surviving Venom Flyers left the Matoran Universe with packs of Visorak and immigrated to Spherus Magna.[4][5]

Abilities and Traits

The Rhotuka of these Rahi negate a target's capability of flight, whether it be by natural or mechanical means.[2]

Set Information

A Venom Flyer can be built out of parts from Visorak sets 8743 Boggarak, 8745 Roporak, and 8747 Suukorak. Its building instructions used to be hosted on BIONICLE.com, but are no longer available. Its head, when pressed, causes its mandibles to squeeze together, and its back features a Rhotuka Launcher and silver Rhotuka.
