== History ==
The Creature Mask of Fire came into existence with [[Ikir]] during the creation of [[Okoto]].

During Okoto's golden age, [[Ekimu]] created the Protector Mask of Fire, which was passed down among the [[Protectors]] of the Fire Tribe. After learning of the [[Makuta's Betrayal|coming disaster]], Ekimu bid Protector Mamuk retrieve an [[Elemental Crystals|Elemental Crystal]] from Ikir, with which he forged the Golden Mask of Fire. The Golden Mask of Fire was hidden in the Fire Shrine in the [[Region of Fire]].

{{G|2|Tahu}} wore the Mask of Fire when he arrived on Okoto 1,000 years later. Protector [[Narmoto]] guided him to the Fire Shrine, where he retrieved the Golden Mask of Fire. Later, [[Kulta]] destroyed the Golden Mask of Fire with the [[Mask Stealer Staff]].

After being awoken by the {{G|2|Toa}}, Ekimu forged the Unity Mask of Fire for Tahu. Tahu sought out Ikir's temple and retrieved the Golden Unity Mask of Fire, which allowed him to unite with Ikir.

Different versions of the Mask of Fire exist. Each mask provides the user some measure of control over fire.

== Set Information ==
A 14 karat gold version, a transparent version of the Mask of Fire were displayed at New York Comic Con 2014.

The Protector Mask of Fire was released in [[Set:70783|70783 Protector of Fire]], the Mask of Fire and the Golden Mask of Fire were released in [[Set:70787|70787 Tahu - Master of Fire]], and a trans-neon orange version of the Mask of Fire was released in [[Set:5002941|5002941 Hero Pack]] in the winter wave of 2015.

The Creature Mask of Fire was released in [[Set:71303|71303 Ikir Creature of Fire]], and the Unity Mask of Fire and the Golden Unity Mask of Fire were released in [[Set:71308|71308 Tahu Uniter of Fire]] in the winter wave of 2016. The corrupted Unity Mask of Fire was released in [[Set:71313|71313 Lava Beast]] in the summer wave of 2016.
