Set Information

The Kanohi Kaukau was first released in the color translucent blue with the 2001 Gali set. It was also possible to receive a Kanohi Kaukau in a mask pack in 2001. Translucent green, red, orange, blue, white, black, light blue, and yellow were available in the mask pack (although the yellow and light blue Kanohi Kaukau were misprints).

In 2002, a Krana pack was released that contained three Krana and two Kanohi of either silver or gold color. The Kanohi Kaukau was one of six masks available as such.

Included in the Hahli set of 2003 was a transparent blue Kanohi Kaukau.

Trivia

  • Before it was destroyed by the Bohrok, Naho Falls had a large Kanohi Kaukau statue.
  • The Kanohi Kaukau was the only of the Toa Mata's Kanohi to have its design computer generated by set designers. The other five were done by carvings.
