"The problem with invisibility, he had discovered, was that he could not see himself either. It was no easy trick to run when he couldn't see his feet."

The Kanohi Huna is the Mask of Concealment. It allows its user and any objects they are holding to turn completely invisible,[2] although their shadow will still remain.[3] The mask can also hide the user from technological systems, such as the Kralhi.[3] The only difference between the Great and Noble versions is that the Great version has a longer duration than the Noble one.[1] Kanohi Elda, Kanohi Arthron, and Kanohi Rode allow their users to detect beings hidden with a Kanohi Huna.[4][5][6]

On Metru Nui, Kanohi Huna are made from Shrink, Enlarge, and Freeze Kanoka.[7]

Set Information

The noble Huna was first released in 2001 as part of 8540 Vakama in orange, 8538 Muaka & Kane-Ra in black, and 1391 Jala in blue. It was one of the masks possible to be received in 8525 BIONICLE Masks, in orange, lime green, tan, light blue, light gray, and dark gray. It was made available in copper, representing a Copper Mask of Victory, through promotional means. It was later released again in blue as part of set 8586 Macku in 2003. In 2004, it was released as part of 8609 Tehutti in black dual-injected with silver. The mask bears the code 7-OS on the inside.

The Great Kanohi Huna was released in dark red in 2004, as part of set 8601 Toa Vakama. This mask would later be distributed in the same color during 2006 and 2007 as part of sets 8725 Balta, 7719 QUICK Red Good Guy, and 8939 Lesovikk.

A Hordika-version of the mask was released in dark red as part of 8736 Toa Hordika Vakama. It was made available in dark green in 8940 Karzahni in 2007, where it was used as armor rather than as a mask.
