Significance | Minor |
The Rebuilding was a period following the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal during which the Matoran of Mata Nui rebuilt themselves into stronger, taller forms. The Matoran's new design was meant to more closely resemble their original Metru Nui bodies.
History
After the Bohrok-Kal were defeated, the Turaga gathered the Matoran population at Kini-Nui. There, the Turaga revealed Takua and Jala, whom they had rebuilt into taller forms[1] using knowledge that the Rahaga once taught them.[citation needed]
The Matoran cheered loudly at this reveal. They were taught how to rebuild themselves and were later rebuilt. Immediately after the announcement, the Turaga initiated a Naming Day ceremony, and several brave Matoran were rewarded with new names for their heroism.[2]
Aftermath
Due to the increase in the Matoran's size, Nuparu had to modify the Boxors' design slightly to fit the new forms.[citation needed]
Trivia
- While he was in the realm of Karzahni, Nuparu discovered that this rebuilding process is similar to what its ruler was originally intended to do to the Matoran.[3]
