It says that sand was the element of sand was omitted from the MU, but what are the beaches and deserts of the MU covered in? It would make sense that it is finely ground stone, as Pohatu can control it, but that raises more question. Are the Kranua able to turn into elemental sand or fine stone particles? Could a Toa of stone control elemental sand? Could a being who can control sand be able to control this fine stone?
- Pohatu and any Toa of Stone can only reduce stone to dust/sand, and create/make stone from stonedust/sand. The Toa of Stone can't control the fust/sand, only the stone. Sand, as a naturally generated thing exist in the Matoran Universe, it only doesn't exist as an elemental power, just like how in our world. We have sand too, but none of us are able to control it. Kranua was designed by Nuparu and Po-Matoran engineers to transmutate into sand, it was programmed, not "elementally" given. Devastator can also transmutate his body into sand-like substance, but yet again it is not elemental power, and his species was designed that way. He was also native to Karzahni, and he doesn't control the sand on the same way as the Toa controls their elements, he just changes his body into a sand-like substance, but he can only control the particles from his body, not every sand around him.
