Emigration from the MU

The following reference code signifies that these characters made it out of the MU alive: <ref name="bzp-11-05-2010">[http://www.bzpower.com/board/blog/59/entry-111284-farshtey-feed-final-entry/ BZPower: Farshtey Feed], 9. Citation for Rahi emigration

Bringing this discussion here from the edit summaries of Ranama.

The previous section on this page confirms the emigration of four specific Rahi, but nothing more. The citations I've removed from Ranama's page ([OGDi][OGDi]) only confirm the emigration of named characters (so named Rahi like Graalok and Pewku are fair game) and sapient species, but nothing about Rahi species in general. I've occasionally seen this Farshtey Feed post used as a citation, but the only thing it confirms is that the Rahi were released from the Archives; whether or not they made it to Spherus Magna is not outright confirmed.

Is there a good relevant citation that can be used to confirm that Rahi species survived and made it to Spherus Magna? --PeabodySam (talk) 11:44, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Made by Makuta

On most Rahi pages, we have cited Makuta's Guide to say that the Rahi were made by the Makuta using using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis. However - I feel this is very presumptious on both of these statements:

  • Statement 1: The Rahi is made by Makuta.
  • Statement 2: The Rahi was made using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis.

Neither of these statements are true for all Rahi, so it feels wrong to make these assumption with such certain wording. What the book's statement boils down to is that 'those Rahi made by Makuta are made using V & LP', not that all Rahi are made by Makuta and through that method.

  • Statement 1: We can't assume all Rahi are made by Makuta, because we have countless counterexamples -- First Rahi, Fire Entity (if that counts), Energy Hounds, Crystal Serpents, Kratana, Protodites.
  • Statement 2: We can only assume the Rahi was made using viruses and liquid protodermis if it was made by Makuta, going off the book... However, Greg did say all Rahi are created using viruses but two questions later (same quote) said the Crystal Serpents were not... :/ https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2008-2010/page44#post1730-line25,27,50,52

I think it's reasonable for Rahi articles to only describe how they were created when that particular species was created in a unique way. The info on Rahi generally being created with viruses is already on the main Rahi article (and maybe should be added to the Makuta article as well), so I'm not sure individual Rahi articles would be worse off for not including that info. That said, I also think the current setup is pretty reasonable, so personally I don't think it's worth the effort to change all the existing Rahi pages. Others should feel free to weigh in though! -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 04:29, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
I feel like it was once said that it's safe to assume that every Rahi were made by the Makuta, except those we know that weren't or later proved/retconned otherwise, but I'm no longer sure about that.--Surel (Talk) 10:45, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

Worms? Kratana?

Currently, we list "Worm" on the list of Rahi, originating from Protection - "Worm" isn't really a name, so firstly it should be on the unnamed Rahi list if kept; but regardless -- from what I've gathered, this is actually intended to be the Kratana. Outofgloom first brought this up to me, noting that back in the day, as far as they recall, it was fairily evident that they were intended to be Kratana (but are never referred to as such, since Kratana is not an official name.) When Rayg was asked about it, he said "Sounds right". This also explains the comparison to Kraata, and the telepathic ability. So... should they be moved to being Kratana? ~ Wolk (talk) 17:12, 23 July 2023 (UTC)

If the author says they are Kratana, then it's good enough for me, but I'm open to hear other's opinion on the topic.--SurelNuva (Talk) 00:25, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
I have no issue with this. TuragaHordika (talk)
I'd prefer to hear a more definitive answer from Rayg, but I'm entirely open to this. --Gonel (talk) 19:32, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
