Talk:Keetongu

From BIONICLEsector01

Species Name

"Even to many of the Rahaga, Keetongu is considered a myth. It is said that this Rahi comes from a powerful species that was hunted to extinction by Sidorak and the Visorak horde, until one specimen remained. **That Keetongu** chose to go into hibernation until the day he was needed his resting place has never been found but is actively being sought by the TOa Hordika and Rahaga." – Rahi Beasts, pg. 46

Sounds to me like Keetongu is the species name, not the individual? ~ Wolk (talk) 20:54, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Sure seems like it to me, but judging from other media, (books, movies, comics ETC...) i think it's just a typo. --"LBX battle on!!!" ~Prof. Srlojohn 16:40, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
Being as Rahi Beasts actually calls the species Keetongu, I don't see why we shouldn't consider that accurate. More than likely, the last Keetongu simply came to be known by that name as a personal identity since he was the last one living and since he never objected to being referred to as such. --Harsulin's Ghost (talk) 23:27, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
[1] Q: "1. If Keetongu is the last of its species (I heard that from jetslandingboard), is Keetongu "Keetongu's" name or the species name?" A: "1) I see it as a proper name" ~ Wolk (talk) 06:11, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

I think keetongu is just his name because how would you feel if everyone that talked to you just called you human that would just be rood George the toa of pig (talk) 06:35, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

"Krahka" is an example of a species name that's applied to a Rahi who's the last of her kind. I don't think it would be a stretch at all to say the same happened to Keetongu. Personally, I'd take what's written in Rahi Beasts over Greg's out-of-canon speculation, but that's just me. (Also, as to the idea that being called "human" could be rude, the Matoran Universe is one with dozens of species. Being called your species name in lieu of an actual name is quite reasonable, being easier to identify.) --777stairs (talk) 04:52, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

How did keetongu stay under water

In the web of shadows movie how did keetongu stay under the icy water for all those years --George the toa of pig (talk) 06:38, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

Just speculating, but it's possibly his mechanical parts kept him alive in a sort of "standby" mode. Visorak Suukorak could slow down its life processes to almost zero and appear dead, so maybe Keetongu could do something similar. Master Inika (Talk) 05:15, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
