Set 8729 Toa Nuparu is a canister set released in 2006 portraying Toa Nuparu, the Toa Inika of Earth.

Set Information

The set contains 46 pieces, and can be combined with parts from 8728 Toa Hahli and 8730 Toa Hewkii to create Toa Jovan.

The Inika's structure was largely disliked among fans, as they simplified the building process in many ways and did not boast the functionality of earlier sets. In addition, the masks released that year were incompatible with all previous head pieces and could only be worn with the 2006 Inika heads. This made it impossible to give the Toa any eye color besides green without modification. As a result, nearly all Kanohi produced in subsequent years were compatible with 2004 Metru heads. This continued until the end of Generation 1 in 2010.
