Set 8728 Toa Hahli is a canister set released in 2006 portraying Toa Hahli, the Toa Inika of Water.

Set Information

The Toa Hahli set was released in early 2006 as one of the six Toa Inika sets. The set contains 46 pieces, which can be combined with parts from 8729 Toa Nuparu and 8730 Toa Hewkii to create Toa Jovan.

Features

Hahli carries a Zamor Launcher that can be used to launch the spheres included in the set. A magazine allows the launcher to hold up to four spheres at once.

When a button on Hahli's Laser Harpoon is pressed, its core will flash with green light. This feature is powered by three LR41 batteries.

Collectibles

The set contains a dark blue Great Kanohi Elda and four sea-green Zamor Spheres.

Community Response

The Inika's structure was largely disliked among fans, as they simplified the building process in many ways and did not boast the functionality of earlier sets. In addition, the masks released that year were incompatible with all previous head pieces and could only be worn with the 2006 Inika heads. This made it impossible to give the Toa any eye color besides green without modification. As a result, nearly all Kanohi produced in subsequent years were compatible with 2004 Metru heads. This continued until the end of Generation 1 in 2010.
