Sapient Species/Unnamed Species

In the BIONICLE storyline, there are many Sapient Species that are not named and about which little is known.
Many Sapient Species coexisted together in the Matoran Universe, some created by the Great Beings, others by the Great Spirit Mata Nui. They were eventually forced to leave the Great Spirit Robot in the aftermath of the Battle of Bara Magna, and relocated to the planet of Spherus Magna.
Airwatcher's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Airwatcher belongs to.
Amphibax's Species
An amphibious species that Amphibax belongs to.
Axonn's Species
The species that Order of Mata Nui member Axonn belongs to. They are about the height of a Toa, and can wear and use Kanohi masks.
Botar's Species
A savage race that lives on one of the Southern Islands; each has a powerful Teleportation ability. Known members include Botar and his replacement in the Order of Mata Nui. This species is able to wear and use Kanohi, although they typically do not.
Brutaka's Species
The species that Order member Brutaka belongs to. This species has several resistances to various substances; they are strengthened when they absorb Makuta essence, Antidermis, and prolonged exposure to the original liquid has caused it to mind link with Brutaka. They also have a slight resistance to the Pit Mutagen. This species is known to wear and use Kanohi.
Carapar's Species
The species that Carapar belonged to, one of six prime species created by Mata Nui. This species is able to wear and use Kanohi.
Conjurer's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Conjurer belongs to.
Darkness's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Darkness belongs to.
Dweller's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Dweller belongs to.
Ehlek's Species
A sea-dwelling species native to the waters around Zakaz, one of the six prime species created by Mata Nui, where the Barraki Ehlek came from. The Order of Mata Nui tampered with them to make them stronger and gave each Protosteel claws. They are unable to breathe air, and therefore must wear a breathing apparatus if they leave the water.
Eliminator's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Eliminator belongs to.
Gladiator's Species
A slave species on the island of Stelt that often work as entertainment fighters. They are the lowest class on the island. The Dark Hunter Gladiator originated from this species.
Guardian's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Guardian belongs to.
Hydraxon's Species
The species that Order of Mata Nui member Hydraxon belongs to.
Jerbraz's Species
The species that Order member Jerbraz belongs to.
Johmak's Species
The species that Order member Johmak belongs to, possessing black armor.
Kalmah's Species
A species that was created by Mata Nui as one of six that the Barraki originated from. This species is able to wear and use Kanohi.
Krekka's Species
Another species native to Stelt; socially, they rank between Sidorak's species and Gladiator's species. Typically very strong, members of the species are hired for labor or work as bodyguards, possessing less intelligence and more strength.
Lariska's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Lariska belongs to.
Lurker's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Lurker belongs to.
Mantax's Species
The species that the Barraki Mantax belongs to. This species was one of the six prime species created by Mata Nui, and is able to wear and use Kanohi.
Mimic's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Mimic belongs to.
Nocturn's Species
A species of amphibious beings who once lived on a small island that was later destroyed by Nocturn. They possess the ability to regrow lost limbs, and are also naturally immune to Pit Mutagen.
Original Inhabitants of Odina
Prior to the Dark Hunter's takeover of the island, another society of beings resided on Odina.
Pridak's Species
The species that Barraki leader Pridak belongs to, originally one of the six prime species created by the Great Spirit. This species is able to wear and use Kanohi.
Primal's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Primal belongs to.
Primary Species of Nynrah
The primary inhabitants of the island of Nynrah. Nothing is known about them except that they are crafters.
Poison's Species
A venomous species that the Matoran have nearly wiped out. They are not immune to their own poison and are sometimes thought to be Rahi, but are actually sapient. The Dark Hunter Poison is a member of this species.
Seeker's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Seeker belongs to.
Shadow Stealer's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Shadow Stealer belongs to.
Sidorak's Species
The species to which Sidorak and Voporak belong. They are upper-class denizens of Stelt, ruling over the others.
Takadox's Species
The species that Barraki Takadox belongs to. They were originally one of the six prime species created by Mata Nui. They possess the ability to hypnotize others, and can wear and use Kanohi.
Triglax's Species
A species of shapeshifters that Triglax belongs to.
Tobduk's Species
The species native to the island of Visorak that was mostly wiped out by the island's Rahi namesake. The survivors migrated to the island of Stelt. This species is able to wear and use Kanohi.
The Shadowed One and Ancient's Species
The species that inhabited a desolate island, which was ravaged by war as a result of Ancient's mercenary ways.
Trinuma's Species
The species that Order of Mata Nui member Trinuma, belongs to. They are able to wear and use Kanohi.
Tyrant's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Tyrant belongs to. They are native to a small island south of Odina.
Vanisher's Species
The species that the Dark Hunter Vanisher belongs to.
Vengeance's Species
The species that Dark Hunter Vengeance belongs to.
