"He looked over his shoulder, hoping to at least have the satisfaction of knowing what was dragging him off to his doom. He looked, and he saw, and then he discovered a basic fact of life (and death): The problem with being underwater is that you can't scream."

Reysa was an Onu-Matoran who lived in Mahri Nui.

Biography

Reysa was sent to Karzahni be fixed, though the ruler failed in this. He gave Reysa a weapon to defend himself with and hid him on the Southern Continent.

Reysa was present on Voya Nui during the Great Cataclysm when the landmass was upheaved to the planet surface. He later came to settle on Mahri Nui, a piece of land forged from lava. When Mahri Nui broke off from Voya Nui and sank, he and his fellow Matoran eventually forgot their memories of life on Voya Nui and became dependent on air bubbles, harvested for them by Hydruka. His job was to watch over the Hydruka as they gathered Airweed outside Mahri Nui, which he did for approximately 700 years.

When working in the field one day, Reysa lost track of time and stayed out past the designated safety hour, and was dragged off and killed by a tentacled Rahi. As he died outside of the Matoran Universe proper, he was not revived inside the Red Star.

Abilities and Traits

As a Hydruka Guard, Reysa had to understand the Rahi and competently look after them.

When rebuilt by Karzahni, Reysa became weak and fragile. Most of these alterations were undone when he came into contact with the Pit Mutagen and reverted to a form similar to his original.

Like all Onu-Matoran, Reysa could see relatively well in the dark.
