The Proto Pitons were Toa Metru Onewa's Toa Tools. They were used to channel his Elemental Stone powers, and could be used as melee weapons. Onewa also used them to swing from sculpture to sculpture in the Sculpture Fields.
They where mutated into Claw Clubs when Onewa became a Toa Hordika, then transformed back into their original form when Keetongu cured him along with the other Toa Hordika. It was then transformed into the Stone Hammer when Onewa became a Turaga.
Example Usage
In Trial by Fire, Onewa had swung a Proto Piton into a massive rock sculpture while falling from it. The tool held, and thus stopped his plunge.
Set Information
The Proto Pitons debuted in set form in the Toa Onewa set in 2004. They were flexible, allowing them some capacity for swinging.
Trivia
- In the movie Legends of Metru Nui, Onewa used only one large Proto Piton.
