Mamru is an Onu-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

Prior to the Great Cataclysm, Mamru lived and worked in Onu-Metru. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.

Mata Nui

Mamru was physically shrunken and weakened after his exposure to the effects of a Matoran Sphere and he also lost his memories of living on Metru Nui. Despite this, he labored for the construction of Onu-Koro which was supervised by Turaga Whenua and took place using materials from Airships which had been used in the Great Rescue.

In Onu-Koro, Mamru became the Chief Prospector. It was his job to find the Ore deposits in the Great Mine. He had great faith in fellow prospector Azibo, whose knowledge of the Principle of Onu-Koro was considered invaluable to their job. Mamru briefly vacated Onu-Koro during the Bohrok Invasion. He was later rebuilt following the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal.

Mamru was evacuated from Onu-Koro with the other Matoran during the Rahkshi attack on the village.

Return to Metru Nui

Mamru later joined with the other Matoran to build Boats to return to Metru Nui. Once they had reached the city, he again worked alongside the others to help rebuild the ruined city. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.

After Teridax had been killed in the Battle of Bara Magna, the surviving Matoran of Metru Nui, including Mamru, left the city to relocate to Spherus Magna to start a new life.

Trivia

• In the The Final Chronicle, Mamru's speech box refers to him as "Mamoru." However, every other character calls him "Mamru."
