The Lake of Protodermis was a shallow lake filled with Liquid Protodermis on the east side of the Voya Nui region of the Southern Continent.

History

The Lake of Protodermis was on the Southern Continent, and was ripped to the surface of Aqua Magna in the Great Cataclysm with the rest of Voya Nui. The Lake was one of the few remaining sources of fresh Protodermis on Voya Nui. However, since the lake could not replenish itself, its level of Protodermis continued to diminish, raising the concerns of the Matoran of Voya Nui regarding future sources of Protodermis. One type of Burnak, the Protodermis Burnak, lived here.

It is unknown whether the lake survived Voya Nui's fall through the sea. If it did, it was later destroyed when the Great Spirit Robot was dismantled following the Battle of Bara Magna.
