"Dweller" is a stealthy Dark Hunter and one of the organization's most effective spies.

Biography

Dweller originally worked on assassination missions and used his mental attacks to kill his targets.

The Shadowed One later sent Dweller on a permanent assignment to Metru Nui after the Great Cataclysm to keep watch over developments there, as the city was a key tactical location to both the Dark Hunters and the Brotherhood of Makuta. Dweller used his powers to monitor events, and periodically sent out Rahi with reports to the Shadowed One. He was also able to use his power to shield himself from discovery from anyone who wandered the tunnels where he lived, such as the Rahaga.[1] During his time at Metru Nui, he witnessed and reported a brief battle between a wandering band of Visorak and the allied Turaga Dume, Rahaga and Keetongu. He occasionally entertained himself by giving Norik nightmares about Visorak and Dark Hunters overtaking Metru Nui.[2]

Acting on information from a report, the Shadowed One ordered Dweller to follow Takanuva and strike when he was most vulnerable, opening the way for a Dark Hunter invasion. While Dweller was attempting to probe Takanuva, Takanuva sensed his presence, and was able to deflect the mental attack and locate its source. Before Takanuva could reach Dweller, however, he was attacked by a Shadow Leech.[3] Soon after, Dweller witnessed the Toa Mahri's return to Metru Nui.[citation needed]

When Brutaka traveled to Metru Nui, the Dark Hunter's mental powers proved useless against the Order of Mata Nui member, who knocked him out, captured him, and brought him to Toa Helryx. He was later taken by the Order and imprisoned on Daxia.[3]

When Makuta Teridax took over the Matoran Universe and leveled the Daxia Fortress, Dweller survived and escaped from the custody of the Order.[citation needed]

After Teridax was killed and the universe was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, Dweller emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.[4]

Alternate Universes

Toa Empire Alternate Universe

In an alternate universe where Toa ruled, Dweller was never sent to Metru Nui and was killed when the Toa Empire invaded Odina.[citation needed]

Abilities and Traits

Dweller has the ability to reach out and scan the minds of others, gathering information from hundreds of minds for his reports. He can take this further, to drive them insane with nightmares, or to screen himself from the minds of others.

Extremely loyal to the organization, Dweller's dedication enables him to wholeheartedly devote all his time and effort into completing his missions.[1]
