The Cable Crawler is a species of climbing Rahi.

History

The Cable Crawler species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.

A population of Crawlers established themselves in the cables overlooking Le-Metru in Metru Nui. Although shy around Matoran, the Cable Crawlers became a pest, due to their tendency to cut the thick power cables into small pieces by using their sharp claws, usually when they are searching for food.[citation needed: RB?]

After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, many Cable Crawlers emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.[1]

Abilities and Traits

Along with its hunting skills, the Cable Crawler has the ability to unleash waves of energy that can distort balance and cause vertigo. They use this technique while hunting, using it on smaller creatures and on larger creatures, so they may escape while the larger Rahi is confused.

Cable Crawlers are also mostly nocturnal, and can be found in the dark of the night hunting. The Rahi has a habit of nesting in cargo holds of Matoran Airships. This was discovered when an Airship, supposedly carrying a shipment of Rahi, flew to the Archives, but, when it landed, all the Rahi had been eaten by a single Cable Crawler.[citation needed: RB?]
