Concepts for BIONICLE Page's Link: Concepts Gallery
A bit of the missing content for the Gallery:
Above is a story bible for the Bionicle stone-legend, and some concept sketches of the Amaja circles.
Above are two early Bionicle Mata-Nui concepts
Above: dawn of Bionicle concept poster, and an animation. Unable to acquire a LARGE version of the poster and unsure if there is a larger option available.
"This concept poster was done in 2006 trying to envision what the battle in Karda Nui between the Toa and the brotherhood of Makuta would look like. ...He is being chased by an evil looking craft or creature looking like a blend between an “M” for Makuta and a manta ray. ...The fight takes place just next to the “great fall” the water pouring into Karda Nui." Features Av-Matoran spectators.

Ideas for Replacing File:Image-request.png
File:Image-request.png is a blank picture frame, which isn't BIONICLE-related at all. Here are some images we could replace it with:

Deputy Toa
A Deputy Toa is the second-in-command of a Toa team. They serve as confidantes to their team leaders and fulfill the role themselves when their leaders are unavailable.
Known Toa
- Bomonga - Toa Hagah of Earth and deputy of his team under Toa Norik
- Nokama - Toa Metru and temporarily Toa Hordika of Water, maintained her group's cohesion during leader Vakama's defection
- Kopaka - Toa Mata and later Toa Nuva of Ice, despite originally struggling with unity. When the team split up into Phantoka and Mistika divisions, Kopaka took command of the Phantoka while leader Tahu placed himself with the Mistika.
- Hewkii - Toa Inika and later Toa Mahri of Stone, appointed as replacement leader when Jaller believed his death was imminent.
Trivia
- While most of the Toa team leaders are Toa of Fire, Toa deputies have represented many different elements.
- Lesovikk was the overall commander of the Toa Cordak,[1] while Nikila was considered as the tactical leader.[1]

Toa Hagah Spears
"Who are you? Speak or face the power of my Seismic Spear."
— Alternate Toa Bomonga to Takanuva, Dark Mirror
Toa Hagah Spears | |
Toa Norik's Lava Spear | |
Tool | |
Users | Toa Hagah |
Function | Melee combat Channeling their Elemental Power Various individual powers |
Status | In use |
The Toa Hagah Spears were specialized Toa Tools used by the Toa Hagah. The Hagah received them along with metallic armor as part of their elite status.[2] Like all Toa weapons, they could be used for melee combat and channeling their Toa's Elemental Powers, but each spear also had an additional power.
When the Hagah were mutated by Roodaka into the Rahaga, these tools were transformed into smaller staffs with different powers.[2][3][4] They were restored to their original forms when Roodaka reversed the mutations.[5][6]
List of Spears
Name | Picture | User | Power | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Lava Spear | Toa Hagah Norik | Melee combat Channeling his Fire powers Lava blast |
Can also remove all of heat from an object instantly, or superheat it to the point of melting.[7] | |
Tidal Spear | Toa Hagah Gaaki | Melee combat Channeling her Water powers Unknown third power | ||
Cyclone Spear | Toa Hagah Iruini | Melee combat Channeling his Air powers Cyclone blast |
Use of third power weakens Iruini, necessitating he activate it sparingly.[8] | |
Sub-Zero Spear | Toa Hagah Kualus | Melee combat Channeling his Ice powers Unknown third power | ||
Avalanche Spear | Toa Hagah Pouks | Melee combat Channeling his Stone powers Unknown third power | ||
Seismic Spear | Toa Hagah Bomonga | Melee combat Channeling his Earth powers Unknown third power |
Example Usage
In Dark Mirror, an alternate Kualus used his Sub-Zero Spear to blast ice at the core timeline's Takanuva.[9]
Set Information
Norik and Iruini are the only Toa Hagah released as sets in their Toa forms, and as such their spears are the only two seen in set form. Each spear consists of four pieces: a spearhead, two rods connected by the Toa's hand, and a connector to attach the spearhead to one rod.
Stun Staffs
Stun Staffs | |
A Nuurakh using its Staffs of Command | |
Tool | |
Users | Vahki |
Function | Psychologically impair targets |
Status | Out of use |
The Stun Staffs were the primary weapons that the Vahki used to fight crime in Metru Nui. Each Vahki carried two staffs. The tools were designed not to injure or kill their Matoran targets. Rather, they affected targets' minds in temporary ways to discourage further lawbreaking and to encourage work.[10]
The Great Cataclysm sent a power surge through the Vahki Hives, destroying most Vahki and their Stun Staffs. Those staffs that where not destroyed were supercharged and could fire destructive energy blasts.[11] The surviving Vahki were all later eliminated by the Visorak.[10]
List of Staffs
Name | Picture | User | Power | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Staffs of Command | Vahki Nuurakh | Fill target's mind with a single overriding command that is obeyed until the staff's effect wears off | Targets were so dedicated that they were known to shove aside others who prevented them from carrying out their orders[citation needed: BIONICLE Adventures?] | |
Staffs of Loyalty | Vahki Bordakh | Fill target with a strong desire for order | Targets have been known to seek out troublemakers[12] or betray even friends[13] in their pursuit of order | |
Staffs of Suggestion | Vahki Zadakh | Make target more susceptible to suggestion | After using these staffs, Zadakh typically enlisted another Matoran who would convince the troublemaker to return to work[citation needed: BIONICLE Adventures?] | |
Staffs of Confusion | Vahki Keerakh | Scramble target's sense of time and place to prevent further troublemaking | It was not unusual to see dazed Ko-Matoran, targets of the staffs, wandering in Ko-Metru;[14] Ko-Matoran viewed the Staffs of Confusion as more merciful than the Vorzakh's Staffs of Erasing[citation needed: BIONICLE Adventures?] | |
Staffs of Erasing | Vahki Vorzakh | Temporarily eliminate target's higher mental functions, leaving intact only motor skills | The targets of these staffs were called "scramblers"; Le-Matoran were used to seeing scramblers wandering aimlessly in Le-Metru[15] | |
Staffs of Presence | Vahki Rorzakh | Allow the Rorzakh to see or hear what the target sees or hears without the target's knowledge | These tools had the longest-lasting effects of all the Stun Staffs[16] |
Example Usage
During a conflict with the Toa Metru in Enemies of Metru Nui, Vahki Bordakh blasted Nokama with their Stun Staffs. She then pushed Vakama off of the tower on which they were standing.
Set Information
Each of the six Vahki sets released in 2004 included two pieces representing the Stun Staffs. In the Vahki's four-legged configuration, the staffs act as forelegs.
