To make new articles, first you need to go to the page you want to make. Since you are creating a new article, the article therefore must be non-existing, otherwise it wouldn't be creating a "new" article. The simplest way to go to the article you want to create would be via the search box at the left sidebar.
Type in the name of the page you want to create, and if the page doesn't exist, you will see a page which, at the top, reads "There is no page titled "-something-". You can create this page." You would find that the last three words, "create this page", is a red link. Click on the link, and you will be brought to a new page, where there's a message at the top informing you that the page does not exist, and beneath it is a collection of buttons. If the page you want to create fits the categories of the buttons, click on that button. (i.e If you want to make a page about an object, you click on the "Object" button) You will find that a template would be automatically inserted into the textbox. Simply fill in the information of the various sections and template, and press "save page" when you're done.
A different way to create a new page would be via the website link. On your browser, where the website address of the wiki is located, simply change the text after "/wiki/index.php?title=" to the name of the page you want to create. (i.e If you want to make a page named "Blah", change the link to "/wiki/index.php?title=blah".)
