The Whirling Shields are a pair of shields that can be spun rapidly and are wielded by the legendary Rahi Keetongu. They are capable of absorbing any force used against him. The shields then transfer the absorbed power to Keetongu's armor, which redirects it to his Rhotuka spinner.
Example Usage
- In Time Trap, the shields allowed Keetongu to absorb a bolt of Shadow fired by Makuta Teridax and channel the force into a Rhotuka spinner.
Set Information
The Whirling Shields were released in summer 2005 with the Keetongu set. When an axle attached to the lower right arm was spun, the entire shield array would rotate. The area covered by the spinning shields increased to its maximum as one spun the axle faster and decreased to a minimum when one slowed or stopped the speed of rotation. This function was similar to Roodaka's Catcher Claws.
