Hey, I was thinking about the Other Locations page, and I realized that the MU really doesn't fall under the category of EOP, since Mata Nui isn't bound to a certain planet. It should either go under Spherus Magna, where he was created, or in a category all his own. I would do it like this -

Hey Bioran, I've tried to use your userboxes in the past, but every time I do, either the UB's border becomes larger, or the table I put it in gets messed up, and sometimes the side navigation bar dissappears. Set page

Set info is for BZP? Really? Last I checked, so were the story serials. And a fair deal of story information. Granted, BZPower can yield a fair amount of set information. Unfortunately, as the BIONICLE page proves, much of that is biased, sensationalized, and only suited for use as toilet tissue, not as reliable reference content. Why will it do harm to have a page with a mere list of sets? The way I see it it would be a good alternate means of navigation on the site. We do, after all, have a "Large Sets" nav template. Wouldn't an overall "Sets" page be much more effective than that? Consider also the other things this site has that don't pertain to story. For instance, it has an in-depth BIONICLE Heroes page, an all-encompassing "Music" page, and several other pages that scarcely touch on story but are useful for reference. I'm not asking that half of each page be devoted to set info or anything else ridiculous like that. All I ask is that there be a fair campaign on the AfC for a "directory" of sorts for one to browse the sets of each year and explore their story roles further on the respective pages, as was recently proposed. Either that, or I would like permission to delete that shameful BIONICLE page's largest section and replace it with something of this sort-- something that, unlike the current section that actually is for and from BZP, would do a lick of good on this site. I can't demand that you provide either, but if you feel it is best to refuse I'd at least like a legitimate reason why neither of these requests is reasonable.--Aanchir 00:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

I like that page. Sure, it's biased, and sensationalized; that's what makes it so fun to read. I missed the part where the page was intended to be otherwise. And besides, it's pretty much the only point of view we have. If you have another source where the reception to the sets can be accurately documented, add it in. Correction-- BZP provides a firsthand look at what is usually a statistically insignificant outlier from the overall audience reaction. The only people who really know the audience reaction are those who work for LEGO and have access to focus group information, sales statistics, etc. As for the style of the BIONICLE article, it treats set information as if it's the most important aspect of BIONICLE. Perhaps it is to LEGO and to several buyers, but I see no reason that on a story-based wiki we can't reduce that to an objective side-note rather than an expansive field of fan assumptions, gripes, and emotions. It doesn't fit in any sort of encyclopedia or reference source, much less one whose focus is on that article's subject in particular. BZP may or may not be the place for set information, but it's definitely the place for a pathetic excuse for set or story information like the BIONICLE page demonstrates.--Aanchir 14:47, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
