The Underwater Rahi Study was a project conducted by Whenua, Mavrah, and Onepu. The project was to house massive, Ancient Underwater Rahi in a sub level of the Archives. Only these three Matoran, Turaga Dume and the Chief Archivist knew about it. Because the Rahi gradually began to cause severe damage to their containment area, as well as almost eating Whenua, the project had to be closed down. The night before it was to be closed, Mavrah took the Rahi away and vanished into secret tunnels in the Great Barrier, where the Toa Metru later found them.
