The Turaga of Metru Nui (formerly of Mata Nui) in set form.

A Turaga is the final form of a Matoran's life. After completing their respective Destiny, a Toa can sacrifice his or her Toa Power for the greater good and become a Turaga, though the they keep enough of it to be more powerful than the average Matoran.

The first Turaga were created as Turaga and were never Matoran or Toa.

Turaga are generally wise, about the height of a Matoran, and still capable of small Elemental abilities (where a Toa of Fire can create a fire blast, a Turaga can light a torch), they cannot use a Nova Blast like a Toa can, and generally rule over some form of Matoran territory. They are also able to use Noble Kanohi and usually carry a Badge of Office.
