Toa Tools are tools used by Toa.
Toa Tools are used for both offensive and defensive purposes. Most old-generation tools are limited to swords, spears and hooks, although newer tools have evolved to include blasters and harpoons. The tools can be used to channel a Toa's Elemental Powers and physical combat, whilst some tools can be used for secondary functions such as skis and lavaboards. Despite the ability to channel Elemental Powers through Toa tools, a Toa can also channel power over other objects, although the Toa tools are preferred over others.
A Toa primarily wields one Toa Tool, although some Toa hold additional tools, such as chains or projectile launchers.
Many of the first Toa Tools were made by Artakha and his Matoran. If a Toa transforms into a Turaga or Matoran into Toa whilst holding a tool, it too will transform with them into either a Badge of Office or Toa Tool respectively.
Other Toa Tools
The following are a list of tools which have been rarely described or mentioned:
- Air Scythe - Toa Mangai Nidhiki's Toa Tool, it was lost when he was mutated by Roodaka's Rhotuka Spinner.
- Barbed Broadsword - Toa Mangai Tuyet's Toa Tool, it was confiscated when she was sent to The Pit.
- Tri-Claw - Savage's Toa Tool, which can liquify solid matter. It is unknown if he had this before becoming a Toa Hordika.
- Combat Staffs - Staffs used by the Toa Hordika of Metru Nui during the Visorak occupation of the city.
