Toa Disks are Kanoka that contain a portion of Elemental Power in them. If a Toa Disk is made into a Kanohi, the resulting mask will be Elemental and will possess the Disk's power. For example, the Kanohi Garai can be crafted from a Disk of Gravity. A minimum of seven, possibly more, of these have been seen so far, six of which belonged to the Toa Metru. The seventh represented "Toa" Nuhrii, and was created by the Order of Mata Nui to trick Teridax into choosing Vakama and the other Toa Metru.

The Toa Metru's Toa Disks originally had the Great Disk Matoran's names and pictures of their Kanohi. These names and Kanohi pictures were put there to fool Teridax into choosing the real Toa Metru. This was later corrected when Lhikan gave the Toa Metru their Toa Stones.
