Toa Canister
From BIONICLEsector01
"They're called Toa canisters, for want of a better name. They are a means of transport. Quite remarkable, from what I've been told."

History
In the early years of the Matoran Universe, Matoran everywhere built groups of six Toa Canisters, symbolizing the six Toa Mata. As a result of this purpose, it became a common belief that only a Toa or a being of equal or greater power would be able to survive passage in one. At least one Toa Canister was used by a member of the Order of Mata Nui to travel to the island of Mata Nui, where he was killed by Makuta Teridax.
Six canisters were stored in the Codrex for the Toa Mata, which they occupied during the Energy Storms. After the Great Cataclysm, these canisters were launched from the Codrex, though due to a malfunction they spent a thousand years drifting in the Endless Ocean. The canisters were later summoned by a beacon caused by the gathering of the Toa Stones in the Amaja-Nui. Several months later, after the island had been abandoned, the Piraka found these six Toa Canisters and used them to get to Voya Nui. Rogue Piraka Vezon used the abandoned Order of Mata Nui Toa Canister to travel there as well.
Several Matoran sent to the land of Karzahni eventually constructed six Toa Canisters, similarly representing the six Toa Mata. Jaller and his rescue team used these canisters to escape the realm, despite warnings that they might not make it as Matoran. Upon arriving at Voya Nui, lightning from the Red Star hit the canisters, transforming the occupants into the Toa Inika.
Artakha has had several of his Matoran devoted to creating Toa Canisters for Toa that require them.
Features
The Toa Canisters are sleek, cylindrical vehicles. They have the ability to turn intangible, making them optimal modes of transportation for Toa.
Traveling in a Toa Canister is said to be dangerous for anybody with less than the strength of a Toa, due to the amounts of force encountered by the canisters on their journeys.
Interior
A Toa Canister is equipped with sensory monitors which feed into the Toa Canister, allowing the user to know where they are traveling. There is also storage space located within the canister, for placing weapons and other items.
Toa Canisters are capable of putting the user into suspended animation, reducing the occupant's need for food or energy, a feature used for extended traveling.
Set Information
The packaging of the Toa Mata sets were designed to resemble Toa Canisters. A plastic "sleeve" containing the packaging art could be rotated to show set and story details through transparent windows.
