The Rebuilding was an event which involved the Matoran of Mata Nui rebuilding themselves into stronger, taller forms of themselves. This new form was meant to more closely resemble their original Metru Nui form.

History
After the Bohrok-Kal were defeated, the Turaga gathered the Matoran population at Kini-Nui, where they revealed Takua and Jaller, who they had rebuilt into taller, stronger forms, a secret they had learned from the Rahaga on Metru Nui. The Matoran cheered loudly for this improvement, were imparted with the knowledge of how to do it, and were all subsequently rebuilt. Immediately after, the Turaga initiated a Naming Day ceremony, and several brave Matoran were rewarded with new names for their heroism.
Aftermath
Due to the increase in the Matoran's' size, Nuparu had to modify the Boxors' design slightly to fit the new forms.
Trivia
- Nuparu discovered during his time in the realm of Karzahni that this process is similar to what its ruler was originally intended to do.
