Cholie, the Huna, Ruru, and Mahiki all have light-based powers, and they aren't on the Light page. So why should the Shelek be on this page if it doesn't affect sound? BC 12:38, 5 January 2008 (PST)

- I think it's obvious enough from the description of the Shelek's power. The Shelek removes a being's ability to speak - that is a bodily function, not a power. It does not in any way effect sound itself. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 09:53, 11 June 2008 (PDT)
- the ability to speak comes from expelling air through our mouths creating sound if someone tried speaking in a vaccuum, there would be no sound, ergo, no speaking. Just because it can keep someone from speaking, doesn't nescerally mean it hasn't efffected the sond SAmaster

- I dunno. Unless he's imitating sounds mechanically, i.e. "recording" them and playing them back, I don't think his power is any more an exercise of control over sonics than a being talking normally. Since we know that Oohnorak's power comes from limited telepathy, i.e. finding a voice in a being's memories and adopting it, I doubt this qualifies as limited sonic ability. Of course, you're staff, so if you decide it qualifies your decision overrules any other, but I'm still concerned that it would be only as much control over sonics as any being capable of speech.--Aanchir 05:46, 10 June 2008 (PDT)

'Running as fast as sound'
Has that been confirmed? Seems like guesswork to me . . .

- Well if a Toa of Light can move as fast as light, It stands to reason that a toa of Sonics can move fast as sound. Point of Fact, it is meant to be near IMPOSSIBLE to go as fast as light, but today we CAN move FASTER than sound. It certainly seems possible. SAmaster
