Where is everybody getting this information on the Av-Matoran? I've never heard of them till now. (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Kardas tamer.)
- Check out BS01's Sources page to see where we get our info from :D Most of it is from Greg Farshtey on BZP, or the Encyclopedia. --

- Oh, and the info on the Av-Matoran that will be 08 small sets -- that info comes from BZP as well :D --

[carve] Transformed
I think all Shadow Matoran should go in the "transformed" section. Gendraxonn 08:20, 8 December 2007 (PST)
They haven't transformed. They've only had the light "sucked" out of them. -- Kopaka's Apprentice (Quick-Speak / Toa Sectra)
- At least, Radiak was transformed. Gendraxonn 09:24, 8 December 2007 (PST)
- All the Bad-toran were. ;) ~Cholie™ ThE lItTlE hElPeR (Blab/Vote for me! :D) 09:27, 8 December 2007 (PST)
- Can only Av-Matoran become shadow Matoran or can any old Matoran do it? Also, could this potentially happen to Takanuva or another Toa? (Probably not, but I have to ask) KS628
- Any Matoran, with help. ~Cholie™ ThE lItTlE hElPeR (Blab/Vote for me! :D) 17:39, 11 December 2007 (PST)
- They have been transformed/mutated because they've had their light drained. :P --Adventurer 16:25, 12 December 2007 (PST)
- OK, we now know that all of the shadow Matoran we know of have been mutated by Mutran, so I think they should be put under transformed. :) --Adventurer 23:02, 18 December 2007 (PST)

[carve] Lasers?
When'd we find out Av-Matoran can shoot lasers? Jalaguy -- Quick-Speak -- Contribs 10:02, 23 December 2007 (PST)
- Lasers are a general light power, Taky uses them. I know Avs can use a Turaga sized amout of light power, but I don't know about lasers. :| ~Cholie™ ThE lItTlE hElPeR (Blab/Vote! :D) 10:04, 23 December 2007 (PST)
[carve] Multiple Toa of Light?
on Antroz's page it says that the Makuta are trying to "control Mata Nui's situation and preventing the creation of more Toa of Light. Can there be multiple Toa of Light? KolSkywalker628, Toa Civil War Fanfic Author (Talk)(Contributions)
[carve] Form
Do we know why the matoran on Karda-nui look like the way they do? Like for example why are they so tall? Mr125 18:31, 21 January 2008 (PST)
They were prototypes for other Matoran to follow and thus were better.--Sir Koji (Sword|Felled Enemies) 18:35, 21 January 2008 (PST)
Ah Mr125 18:50, 21 January 2008 (PST)
Actually, I think GergF's said that they've become larger due to living in Karda Nui, which is full of light, for so long, which is why Takua wasn't so big. --Red Yoshi 64 (Idle Chatter|The Evidence|Private Lab) 13:20, 25 February 2008 (PST)
Tis' full of energy, not just light.(The preceding unsigned comment was made by Tahu Freak.)
[carve] Masks
Have you noticed that most of the Av-matoran and shadow matoran have masks that look like the Toa or Makuta that they have teamed up with. TuragaTroy
- I've asked Greg about this. He said there's no story importance whatsoever. The sets are designed first, and the designers thought it'd be better for sales if the masks look similar. [=-PoI-=] 14:41, 29 February 2008 (PST)
[carve] Power Swords
Since we have little information on their weapons, and they have the rocket packs I believe they're called, doesn't it make sense to add those two together, actually make one for their packs, or if not, to just add the sword information to this page?--Sir Koji (Sword|Felled Enemies) 12:00, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
[carve] Picture
Should we really have Takua as the picture? I mean he's former...and I think that, to keep BS01 up to date, we should have an Av-Matoran who is still an Av-Matoran. [=-PoI-=] 11:13, 12 March 2008 (PDT)
- A collective shot from the comic would be nice. -Shine
- I don't have it yet. >_< Plus I'm at school. I might get it today...If I do, I'll upload a pic. (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Phoenix of Ice.)

[carve] Tanma's Kau Kau nuva?
Has anyone notice that Tanma's mask looks like a Kau Kau Nuva? --Takarii (Talk/Contributions) 22:46, 20 March 2008 (PDT)
- Just a coincidence. ;) ~ThAt'S mR. cHoLiE™ tO yOu! (OBJECTION!/VOTE FOR ME! LAST CHANCE!) 22:49, 20 March 2008 (PDT)
Still, I think it should be classified as a Prototype KauKau, just like the av-matoran are prorotype matoran(or so I heard} --Takarii (Talk/Contributions) 17:40, 26 March 2008 (PDT)
- But there's no proof.
(Contribs!/Sandbox!/Talk!)
- As much as I agree about the similarity, I also have to agree that there's no proof, and this is in terms of storyline complete speculation. Still, I'd love to see your attempt at a Gali revamp using this idea on BZPower. Even speculation has its uses, just not here.--Aanchir 18:40, 26 March 2008 (PDT)

Are Av-Matoran the only type of matoran to transform into Bohrok? I'm kind of confused. -Thunderhead
- You're Right
<><:::::::<X>Matkerzah<X>:::::::><>
and the type they turn into is determined of course by destiny. Wait, if they keep turning into Bohrok and others die or become toa won't we run out of Av-Matoran and have a bunch of Av-Turaga?♪~Tomana~♫
Actually, I think that Av-Matoran become bohrok when they die. That is how it appears in BL10. But yes, only Av-Matoran become Bohrok.(Charcharodon 08:16, 24 July 2008 (PDT))
- I think it was only if it was the Av-Matoran's destiny. Scholar TNU
Yes, it has to be their destiny to transform♪~Tomana~♫
My brain is on fire about this, Would this mean that Av matoran were once numbered in the trillions? It hurts to think about the fact that they were only desdined to be bohrok. My brainzzzz...Rocky0718rocky0718Rocky0718
[carve] Eye Color
From an early 2008 catalog, Av-Matoran have yellow eyes and Shadow Matoran have red eyes. Can't find the exact quote because all my family's recent catalogs are missing, but this is the info I used in this article and another. Is it OK for me to remove the pointless set-based notion that their eyes are light green?--Aanchir 11:06, 27 July 2008 (PDT)
- No, it's not OK. The sets are a perfectly fine source. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 11:40, 27 July 2008 (PDT)
- *shrug* Alright, but I still can't fathom why "light green" is an OK description of yellow-green and "yellow" is not, when the latter is what LEGO acknowledged the color as in this application. The only reason this color is used more often than yellow, in my eyes, is because this color seems to glow under even minimal visible lighting thanks to its response to ambient UV light. Here I'm pretty certain it is meant to depict yellow, even if in the set it varies a bit from that color.--Aanchir 15:23, 27 July 2008 (PDT)
- And I'm not saying I'm not OK with both colors being listed; I just don't see why we need two colors to describe the eye colors of the same sets.--Aanchir 15:24, 27 July 2008 (PDT)
[carve] Av-Matoran have a higher chance of being destined to become a Toa than the other types of Matoran.
Then why is there only one? TuragaTroy
I think it's incredibly fishy too. If that really is true, then why are there more Toa of Fire then Toa of Light? :P Bioran ☺(Talk) (Userboxes) (Designs)☺
Perhaps there are many more Ta-Matoran than Av-Matoran. Tzion 14:28, 26 August 2008 (PDT) Or maybe the Av Matoran live in a place where there's no toa to give them toa power?~Toa Z (Offline)
- This is the way I see it: likeliness of Toa-hood is dependent on access to Toa energy. The Av-Matoran have never really had that, hterefore there's only been one instance in history. But now that they've been discovered, they're going to be perpetually surrounded by Toa, if the Nuva manage to spirit them away. More access to Toa energy, likelihood of Toa-ship goes way, way up. Besides, since the there's kind of a war against creatures of darkness going on, I think that a few Toa would take it upon themselves to sacrifice their power and make two or three dozen Toa of Light. Voila, self-fulfilling prophecy. --Master of the Rahkshi 6:06 PM, 9/18
[carve] Masks.
Should we add that the Av-matoran set Kanohi and Toa Kanohi Look alike, same for Shadow Matoran?--MatoroIgnika 16:35, 5 October 2008 (PDT)
[carve] Maskless!
Can't we convince Greg to give the matoran's masks powers?(like the great versions having powers.) I have ideas for solek, photok, and tanma:
Photok:Mask of poison removal
Solek: Mask of copying (allows someone to copy any feat like mimic.)
Tanma:Mask of cloning (allows someone to make clones of one self that vanish in 1 hit, but are solid)
If someone can contact greg and give him my ideas, that would be perfect!
Ill do it.--M.I.(UBs/Creation Lab) 19:48, 18 October 2008 (PDT)
And why not?Orka, Toa of stone Quick speak
Because, as Greg has stated over and over and over, he won't be giving them mask powers. You're welcome to try, of course, but he will not accept them. --Dorek (Talk| Contribs) 10:49, 19 October 2008 (PDT)
[carve] Shadow-color restoration
Why would the armor color change immediately? After all, Takanuva's remained dark silver for some time, and he was only half-shadow. For that matter, why is this even on this page, since any tribe of Matoran would likely have a similar process of color restoration?--Aanchir 14:53, 11 November 2008 (PST)
- Well, I would say Takanuva had more light to lose. He got it back at the same speed, but he took longer because of how much light he had to get back. As for the many types of matoran being the same, you're most likely right, because it's been removed.--~Ŧwïłɨǥħŧ 09:28, 14 November 2008 (PST)
