The Takea are fierce shark-like predator Rahi. Dubbed the "King of Sharks," just the rumor of a Takea in the water was enough to send the Matoran of Ga-Koro scrambling to shore. Takea are natural enemies of Tarakava, although the sharks consider anything in the water an enemy, sometimes even other Takea. Hahli chased these sharks underwater in Ga-Koro to train in Speed for the Kolhii matches. In Metru Nui, the Takea used to attack Matoran ships just for sport.
In The Pit, the Takea were mutated by exposure to the mutagen in the waters. Some were used in Pridak's army.

Set Information
The Takea was released as part of the BIONICLE Master Builder Set. It used 48 of the set's 102 pieces. It would open and close its mouth when its dorsal fin was moved forwards and backwards.
Trivia
- In BIONICLE: Maze of Shadows, Takea featured front legs with clawed feet.
- Pridak's Shark Tooth Blades were made by Nocturn fusing together more than ten thousand Takea Shark teeth together.
