While on Bara Magna, Mata Nui used a sword as his primary offensive weapon. It was originally a Vorox's stinger tail, which Mata Nui broke off from a Vorox when it tried to attack him. Mata Nui kept the broken stinger, and began using it as a weapon.
During a fight with Strakk, Mata Nui used the stinger tail to prevent the Ice Tribe warrior from attacking a downed Ackar following an arena match. Mata Nui was pressed to the ground, and used the stinger tail to shield himself from Strakk's Ice Axe. The stinger tail was forced towards, and made contact with the Kanohi Ignika, resulting in it being transformed into a brand new sword, which Mata Nui used to defeat his opponent.
He later abandoned it when he transferred his consciousness into the Prototype Robot.
Example Usage
In The Legend Reborn, Mata Nui used the blade to slice through a clifftop, creating a rockslide, which buried a Skopio.
Set Information
Mata Nui's Sword was included in the large Toa Mata Nui set of 2009. It consists of five pieces: the silver blade, a light orange blade guard, a blue pin, and two yellow connector rods.
