A Suva is a shrine dedicated to Toa. Suva play an important part in the lives of Toa, as can be seen with the one in the Great Temple and the Toa Mata's Suva shrines on Mata Nui. Their primary function is to store Kanohi; a Toa can teleport masks to and from a Suva when they are needed. Little is known of the mechanics involved in them, but it's been confirmed that they physically store Kanohi and not in a form of energy like when they're summoned.
Other beings such as Turaga, or even Matoran can use Suva.

On Mata Nui, there were 7 Suva located around the island, below are a list of these Suva:
[carve] Ta-Suva
Ta-Suva was a shrine dedicated to Toa Tahu, located in Ta-Koro. His Kanohi and Kanohi Nuva were stored here, and later his Toa Nuva Symbol. The Suva was destroyed by the Rahkshi as they searched for the Mask of Light. All but one of Tahu's Kanohi Nuva masks were destroyed.

Ga-Suva was a shrine dedicated to Toa Gali, located in Ga-Koro. Her Kanohi and Kanohi Nuva were stored here, and later her Toa Nuva Symbol.

Le-Suva was a shrine dedicated to Toa Lewa, located in Le-Koro. His Kanohi and Kanohi Nuva were stored here, and later his Toa Nuva Symbol.

Po-Suva was a shrine dedicated to Toa Pohatu, located in Po-Koro. His Kanohi and Kanohi Nuva were stored here, and later his Toa Nuva Symbol.

Ko-Suva was a shrine dedicated to Toa Kopaka, located in Ko-Koro. His Kanohi and Kanohi Nuva were stored here, and later his Toa Nuva Symbol.

The Toa Suva is a large Suva shrine at the center of the Great Temple in Ga-Metru. Unlike regular suva, it had the power to transform Matoran into Toa, and it also contained Toa Tools. The Toa Suva was only ever used once - Lhikan stole six Toa Stones from it, and gave them to six Matoran. The Matoran took the stones to the Toa Suva, and placed them into niches. The shrine then rose up and transformed the Matoran into the Toa Metru. The sides of the shrine fell away, and the Toa Metru chose their Toa Tools from it. The Vahki Bordakh believed that the Toa stones and tools had been stolen, and as such, the Toa Suva was declared off-limits to the public.

Nothing is known about this Suva, other than it was damaged by the panic when the Piraka enslaved the population, and destroyed in Voya Nui's descent.

The lids of the Toa Mata canisters released in Summer 2001 were designed to each resemble a Suva.

- The barriers of Karda Nui inhibit the Toa Nuva from accessing their Toa Suva, preventing them from switching masks.
